Here are 3 really important things you need to get your healing practice off the ground, or any kind of new business.
#1. FREE BUSINESS CARDS #2. FREE PAY PAL ACCOUNT #3. AN EASY TO BUILD IT YOURSELF WEBSITE. ( not free but very low cost)
Free Business Cards at www.vistaprint.com Trial Offer of our Premium Business Cards
- 250 full-color business cards free
- 30 design choices
- Durable, premium grade card stock
- Pay only for shipping and handling
- Satisfaction guarantee
So, is there a catch?
Vista Print does ask that their logo be on the back of the free cards. That is it! The logo is very small and professional looking. I have seen the cards and they are very good quality material.
TO GET A PAYPAL ACCOUNT
A PAY PAL ACCOUNT will allow you to receive payments from clients instantly with out having to go through a traditional credit card company.
They will ask you if you want a merchant account or a personal account. For the merchant account, they will want a little more information such as your website address, and business name. If you are serious about starting a healing practice, I recommend you start out with the merchant account. It will save you time later on.
If you are feel nervous about getting a merchant account, get a personal account and you can still receive payments from your clients. If getting a personal account, make sure to check the box that says, "Premier acct". The benefits are...
|
Premier Account - Premier Accounts enjoy access to our premium features and can receive all payments, including credit card payments, for a low fee of just 2.9% + $0.30 USD. Sending payments is free!
You will need to have your checking account information handy. For the business account, you also need a credit card. |
You will give them your bank account information and they will deposit 2 small deposits in your account for verification purposes. Pay pal will send you an email asking you to verify the amount of deposits. As soon as you verify, you are all set up and ready to go!
You can make good use of the merchant tools, like putting 'PAY NOW' buttons on your site.
Now, about the easy to build websites.
I highly recommend the service I use /freetrial/index.cfm?CFID=19362037&CFTOKEN=71437703
but first in all fairness, let me give the other guys a shot. Go to any search engine, www.google.com is my personal favorite.
Put in the box, "webwizard" and or, "point and click web building".
All kinds of options will pop up. Explore them one by one. Here is what you are looking for,
#1. The service MUST have LIVE people to answer your questions when you get stuck. if this feature is missing, pass them over! I don't care if it is FREE or dirt cheap, there is nothing worse thatn having a crises with your website and no one to help you with it.
#2. Does the service have unlimited pages? if it does not, pass them by as well. You may think you will only have a couple of pages but as your business expands, you will find you need way more than you realize now. Trust me on this one. My site now has a mind boggling number of pages.
#3. Does the service have tutorials that you can read at your leisure and figure out how to do what you want?
#4. Can you upload pictures easily?
#5. Can you preview your work before you publish?
#6.Can you try it before you buy it?
#7. Does the service have a good selection of design templates that you can choose from? Can you change your banner? Can you put in your own banner if you like?
#8. Can you change the way the buttons look?
#9. Do they have a referral program?
#10 Have they been in business a long time?
#11. Is it easy to get in touch with them about billing as well as technical problems? I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have a very important issue and no one is answering your emails.
#12. Do they have a built in newsletter service?
