Maria and Gabriel
This is the story of how I first became aware that the
spirit of a baby chooses their parents and
the circumstances of their birth.

A woman who worked for me in the housekeeping department
came to me and told me she was pregnant.
She had no family, no one to help her.
The father of the baby was out of the picture and she felt all alone
and helpless. She felt she had no other recourse but to abort the baby.
She came to me for help.
Maria comes from a very poor, uneducated
background and had suffered a very abusive childhood.
Because of the abuse she had suffered, she had
very low self -esteem and no
sense of personal power.
For many years, I have been journaling first thing every
morning so I have a very accurate record of all that
occurred during that time.
I have included the actual excerpts from
my diary and the dialog I had with the spirit of her baby.
Diary entry, Sept. 29, 2000
Maria is pregnant!
She wants to have an abortion.
I do not feel comfortable helping her with an abortion.
Does she really hurt
as bad as she says?
(She had been complaining of severe abdominal pain)
I moved heaven and earth yesterday to get her an
emergency sonogram.
From the pain she was describing to me, I thought she might have
had a tubal pregnancy.
I know in my heart, that a spirit has chosen her
to be a mother
or the vehicle to life here on this planet.
I know that if she
terminates this pregnancy the spirit will try to find
another vehicle
or even wait for her again.
I know the spirit of the baby is not
in her body yet but still, I hate to think of her killing it.
I am glad I
am getting these thoughts down on paper.
(The following text is still from my diary but it is the actual dialog
I had with the spirit of Maria's baby)
Dear Spirit that chose Maria, What do you want her to do?
Let me come and do that which I am purposed to do. I have tried
before but Maria never lets me. I will keep trying until she does
or I will be lost.
Why does it have to be Maria, or does it?
Maria agreed- before,we cam here.
She is part of my family unit and she is the only
one who is able to have a baby right now.
I would have to go to another
less favorable outcome to reach my goal- help me please!
Do you want Maria to raise you or can she give
you to another family?
Both of these futures have been planned.
It is best for her healing
and forgiveness of self if she raises me.
I will thrive- just let me come!
I will be a good, calm baby.
I will be a healing light to my
mother- I will give her unconditional love.
I will even love her
if she kills me again and again.
Dear Spirit, you sound quiet determined and devoted.
How can I, Rebecca, help you and my dear friend Maria also?
You are aware that
she does not understand all this on the spirit level?
No! She does understand on some level, she is just hiding in
pretended ignorance. You can help me by getting her the
counsel she needs- I salute you my savior, help me!
Dear Spirit, I will do what I can.
(End diary entry)
Well, I called Maria in to talk to her and told her I would
definitly not help her get an abortion. If she still wanted
to do it after I told her about her baby's dialog with me,
then, she would be completely on her own. I told her about
the dialog I had with the spirit of her baby. She later told
me that she had already "lost" more than one baby.
(Maria said in the village where she is from when you don't want
your baby, you go to a "cuendera" and get a certain
herbal concoction to abort)
I advised Maria of her of her options.
She could keep the baby and I would her
help her get medical care or she could give the baby up for
adoption and I would help her with that too.
I explained that I could have nothing to do with an abortion.
The spirit of the
baby was so real to me - I wanted to help him get here.
As I was having the dialog with the baby spirit, I sensed it was
a male energy.
Maria did decide to keep the baby and it was a boy!
Once, Maria made the decision not to abort, the universe just
MOVED for her in mighty ways! I helped her get almost free
medical care for her and the baby. She even quickly found a
great place to stay that welcomed her and the baby.
The spirit of the baby spoke to me again, once, just before he
was born. It was the day before his birth. I saw him standing
beside his mom and he said to me,
" I won't come today but very, very soon".
He was born the next day! She named him Gabriel.
I see Gabriel and Maria almost every day. He is the sweetest
baby in the world. He just looks at his mother with so much love
in his eyes. He has truly changed her world for the better. For
the first time in her life, she knows the joy of unconditional love,
both how to give it and how to receive it.
I can see the healing that
Gabriel is bringing to his mother and I honor him
so much for fighting all the odds to get to her.
Maria gave me permission to tell her story in the hopes it would
help others. Please do not judge her because she was thinking of
abortion. We cannot know how it feels to be helpless and at the
mercy of others unless we have actually been there. I salute her
courage to make the choice to keep this precious baby and to raise
him as a single mother on a housekeeper's salary.
So, this is the story of my first encounter with the spirit of an
unborn baby. I do not see them as tiny babies. Sometimes I see
them as full-grown spirits and sometimes I see them as children.
I usually get a sense of their purpose and personality. Working
with the spirits of the babies is the most rewarding and joyful
work I have ever done. I am honored to help these precious
ones get to the parents they have chosen and begin to connect
spiritually even before they arrive in the flesh. |
